Dec 13, 2016 · I have to agree petsmart stands are cheaply made. Its not hard to build your own stand. There's plenty of DIY videos on you tube. I'd does however sound like a good deal. I just have a hard time trusting particle board tank stands that are expected to hold over 1000 lbs.

The best is a Petsmart and Petco. The Worst is a Petsmart followed by a LFS. Then there is everything in between. LFS doesn’t mean the best.

Up until a year ago I worked at a Petsmart for 3 years. There was very basic information available to employees about the care of the animals offered, especially the reptiles, and most of it was wrong.

Side note - I feel like Petsmart has been stepping up their game. I keep hearing about more locations that have beautiful, healthy fish.
