Rotator cuff tear

An injury in the network of nerve fibers that innervates the skin and musculature of the upper extremity. It causes burning sensation, numbness or weakness of the arm, severe pain and inability to move or feel the affected arm.

Symptoms may include:

• Pain in the shoulder or arm
• Numbness, tingling
• Diminished reflexes

Osteoarthritis

Very common

Inflammation of one or more joints. It is the most common form of arthritis that affects joints in the hand, spine, knees and hips.

Symptoms may include:

• Pain & stiffness of joints (hand, knees, shoulder)
• Tender and warm Joints
• Swelling

Heart attack

Very common

Damage to the heart muscle caused by a loss of blood supply due to blocks in the arteries.

Symptoms may include:

• Crushing chest pain
• Pain in the arms and shoulder
• Shortness of breath
• Feeling clammy and sweaty
