However, there is some evidence to suggest shift workers have more severe sleep apnoea when compared to non-shift workers. Additionally, poor sleep hygiene and irregular sleep patterns all negatively impact sleep quality. So, patients with untreated sleep apnoea should avoid night time shift work.
