Aggregation is a type of association that represents a "whole-part" relationship where the part can exist independently of the whole. It is depicted using a straight line with an empty diamond at the end of the line that points to the whole. In aggregation, the lifetime of the part is not dependent on the lifetime of the whole.
Example:
Consider a car and its wheels. A car needs wheels to function, but the wheels can exist independently and can be used with other vehicles like bikes or bicycles. Here, the car and the wheels have an aggregation relationship.
