Notion databases now have a purpose-built status property for assigning status to your projects or tasks. For every project, you get a clear view of what needs to be done, what’s completed, and what’s dependent on another task being completed first.

Notion formulas 2.0 offer a new way to track project progress without using rollups using the new map () function. This can be useful for complex projects with nested tasks, or for projects where you need more control over how progress is calculated.

This template is designed to help you effectively perform regular status reporting for the projects you are leading. Using this template, you can clearly articulate issues across various project dimensions, such as overall updates, key updates, risks and issues, and future work.

For each milestone or project event within your summary, indicate the current status, like complete, in progress, or overdue. This helps everyone understand whether the team’s on track and what you need to discuss in the chat.

The Status property: best of both worlds. Automatically set a default Status for all newly created tasks. It can behave like a Checkbox, while retaining the benefits of single Select properties (for kanban-style task management).
