    In Greek mythology, Hades, the god of the Greek underworld, was the first-born son of the Titans Cronus and Rhea. He had three older sisters, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera, as well as a younger brother, Poseidon, all of whom had been swallowed whole by their father as soon as they were born.

    Hades was the fourth child of the Titans Cronus and Rhea (after Hestia, Demeter, and Hera), both the oldest and the youngest male sibling.
    Hades was one of the six children of Chronus and Rhea, the Titans. Along with Poseidon, Hestia, Demeter, and Hera he was swallowed by his father who believed that one of his children would one day bring an end to his rule. Zeus was the only one of the divine siblings to escape this fate when their mother hid him from Chronus.
