Symptoms may include:

• Joint pain- knee or hip pain
• Swelling
• Redness

Sciatica

Very common

A severe pain that radiates from the back into the hip and outer side of the leg caused by compression of the sciatic nerve.

Symptoms may include:

• Pain radiating from the back into the hip and outer side of the leg
• Difficulty moving the leg
• Pain that is worse when sitting

Hip fracture

Common

Fracture in the upper part of the femur, the upper bone of the thigh that extends from hip to knee.

Symptoms may include:

• Inability to move immediately after falling
• Severe hip pain
• Difficulty walking

Sacroiliitis

Rare

An inflammation of one or both of the immovable joints formed by the bones of the pelvis called sacrum and the ilium. This causes stiffness or pain in the lower back, hip, and legs.

Symptoms may include:

• Low grade fever
• Hip pain, back pain
• Pain that gets worse after sitting for long

Hip labral tear

Rare

A condition which occurs due to damage of the soft cartilage that rims the socket portion of the hip joint.

Symptoms may include:

• Sensation of locking, clicking or catching in the joint
• Hip pain or groin pain
• Stiffness in hip joint
