I have Factory ammo in Weatherby and some new ammo loaded in Peterson brass. Got it 2 years ago!! Have not shot it yet but I have everything to reload for it!!! I have also Weatherby brass I got from them, so 100 total brass.

Dec 7, 2019 · Shot one that belonged to a friend quite a bit back in the eighties and nineties. It's a screamer but you are limited to hard to come by and always overpriced Weatherby brass. I've also shot the 6.5 STW and came within an inch of buying one but got an opportunity to buy a 6.5 LRM that will run 140's around 3400fps.

Dec 31, 2019 · I checked the Weatherby site and found the freebore of their 6.5/300 to be .2037. Seating a bullet backwards will give you a ball park # but even if your chamber had a zero free bore there would still be a measurement # done your way. .253 minus your trim to length and land angle would seem to fit well with a .2037 freebore.

I actually have a bunch of old Sierra manuals I got from an older guy who sold me all of his reloading gear, and past the '78 manual, the 6.5-300 Weatherby isn't in there.
