The percentages usually come from the number of keys relative to a 100-108 key keyboard with some variance in layout and switch count. A 60% keyboard can have 60 keys (HHKB), 61 keys (GK61), 63 keys (DZ60 V2/V3 Ansi), 64 keys (GK64) etc. A 95% can have anywhere from 95-99 keys.

The compact 1800 has 98 keys while the 1800 layout has 101/102 keys. 60% has 60 to 64 keys and not just 62 keys. 65% ranges from 66 to 68 keys and there are 2 different layouts for the exploded 68-key (see ikki68 layout). Keyboard size and layout are not the same thing and you're erroneously making a 1 to 1 correlation.

The non-staggard layout took only about a week for me get used to and I found that I actually prefer it to the normal staggered design of a keyboard. But I do admit that the aesthetics of an ortholinear board are not as interesting as a staggered design with all of its 48 keys being the same size in a perfect grid.

Aug 12, 2022 · To answer your direct question, I prefer TKL over 75% because of the layout. I have years of muscle memory on that layout and I use the navigation key cluster (home, end, pgup/dn, delete) all the time, often in combination with shift or Ctrl, so being able to do that without looking is super useful for me and 100% worth the extra space.

Dec 25, 2021 · Hi there , Not sure if you managed to find them. I found this board CXTECH F108 , it has 100% keyboard layout including layout and also RGB with hotswap. It comes with 2.4ghz , bluetooth 5.0 and even USB C if thats what you need. I am going to mod it with Pe foam , tape mod with poron case fil along with lubed stabs and lubed Gazzew Boba u4t's.
