Brasília is the federal capital of Brazil, well known for its modern architecture, Niemeyer's buildings, and urban planning. Catedral Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida is a circular cathedral with spectacular natural lightening effect. This cathedral has a dark tunnel that leads to the building's roof with four statues outside the entrance of the Four Evangelists and a 20-meter freestanding bell tower. Praça do Cruzeiro is a monument dedicated to the president, Juscelino Kubitschek, the founder of Brasilia, designed by Oscar Niemeyer and is the best artwork of Oscar Niemeyer. Pontao do Lago Sul is at Paranoa Lake and is the most visited place on weekends. Brasília National Park is with mineral springs, swampy scattered plains, scrubs, and grasslands.
