    • According to 2 sources
Cupronickel or copper–nickel (CuNi) is an alloy of copper with nickel, usually along with small quantities of other elements added for strength, such as iron and manganese. The copper content typically varies from 60 to 90 percent. (Monel is a nickel–copper alloy that contains a minimum of 52 percent nickel.)
Cupronickel (also as copper-nickel) is the name given to any alloy that belongs to an important group of alloys containing copper (for a major part) and nickel (in a lesser amount) that is widely known for its excellent resistance to corrosion, pitting and erosion, strength, workability and weldability.
