  2. A mountza or moutza (Greek: μούντζα or μούτζα [ˈmud͡za]) also called faskeloma (Greek: φασκέλωμα [faˈskeloma]) is the most traditional gesture of insult among Greeks. It consists of extending and spreading all fingers of the hand and presenting the palm towards the face of the person to be insulted with a forward motion.

    In Greece and particularly in the Ionian Islands this gesture is still used as an alternative to the moutza. It is known as a " fist-phallus ", and can be accompanied by extending the right hand while clasping the left hand under one's armpit in a derogatory manner.
