The Klamath River flows 257 miles through Oregon and northern California in the United States, emptying into the Pacific Ocean. It is the second largest river in California by average discharge. The river rises in Upper Klamath Lake in Oregon and flows through the Klamath Mountains before reaching the Pacific Ocean near Requa, California ^{2 1}.
