Our gear only had 6 bolt wheels but it handled 10,000# loads of shell corn easily, and full loads of ear corn even heaped up above the tops of the 2 ft side boards.

I have 4 of 400 bu gravity boxes with 14 ton Horst double reach running gears under them and they work fine. And they take quite a beating on the bumps in the road.

Sep 6, 2019 · No useful info, but it's neat to hear that Kasten made a running gear. We ran a fleet of these Kasten/Gehl/IH boxes for 35 years, but none of them had a Kasten running gear. Unless maybe the Kasten gears were blue in color. I can't remember what the blue gear was. I know some were Electric, and the Gehls were Gehls.
