Carriers are a type of playable starship. They are among the largest vessels in the Starfleet, KDF, RRF and Dominion fleets, and due to their massive size they are also the slowest and least maneuverable.

Overall, Romulan Drone Ships are the deadliest pets in the game. I've seen them one-shot targets. Scorpion fighters are dangerous if you've based your abilities around their torpedoes. However, the deadliest fighter class is the Lost Souls. Those are indeed monsters. Find the ship you can afford to use one of these, and you'll never look back.

Drop a GW3 and Ionic turbulence and the highest level can melt enemies pretty fast. There are only 4 ships that can do this. Jupiter (Zen/Fleet) Breen Sarr Thein Carrier (Phoenix) Kelvin T'Laru (LB/Mudd) Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier (Zen, but need to master it on a JH to unlock it for the account) Each one of these has their own perks.

While carriers can be a lot of fun, swarming your enemies with a ton of fighters and other summons, we need to start by changing your mindset a bit. Having a carrier is like letting a bunch of 5 year olds loose in a room and hoping for the best.

The Terran Acheron-class Dreadnought Carrier is a Tier 6 Dreadnought Carrier which may be flown by characters of any faction. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
