To your OP title comparing pre refresh with refreshed model X, there are myriad of improvements in the refresh. A quick search on YouTube is very helpful. I just got a 2022 MXP and indeed it’s about 15-20k more than a 2021.

The 3 may feel more nimble, because it is smaller, it parks easier, sits lower to the ground, and lighter.
