For quick-growing privacy plants, try pampas Grass ( Cortaderia selloana ), giant grass ( Miscanthus giganteus) and other ornamental grasses that top 10 or more feet. They shoot up quickly, peak in late summer and early fall, and stay upright for winter interest.
