The therian symbol features a Theta Θ and Delta Δ symbol overlapping each other. The symbol is used by the therian community, which is made up of people that identify as specific non-human beings—usually animals—like a wolf, bear, or cat.

The classic Wolf Man (1941), wherein the hapless Larry Talbot falls prey to a gypsy curse transmitted by the bite of a Romani werewolf, was perhaps the first popular reference to the pentagram and silver as symbols and talismans associated with lycanthropy.

And that's really easy to debunk when the misconception is "I howl at the moon as a wolf" or "I'm the gamma of my pack". But I think there are some beliefs, held by wolf therians, that are still influenced by human stereotypes of wolves, but in a much more subtle way.
