Now that I'm in college, lately I've been thinking to myself that I really wish I was a straight male; they have it so easy. No need for sneaky apps like Grindr, no need to check if someone is gay before making a move, always someone for you at a bar, etc.

I've only ever been in serious relationships with guys. Its easy, I know how they like work and I don't know how to speak to women. All my friends know me as Bi and a couple Are convinced I'm gay. I don't know how to drop the whole "I'm straight" thing on them. Honestly I'm scared of being straight.

Being straight is absolutely okay and your friends need to realize that there's straight people in the LGBTQ+ community, (straight trans ppl, straight aces, etc.) I say talk to them about it or just dump them completely.

You're not straight simply because you aren't, and that's okay. While it is easier to be heterosexual in society, that doesn't mean it's all you have to be. I completely understand the frustration, as i went through it too, but the sooner the come to terms with it the sooner you'll be happy.

Often that choice, to live fully as yourself, is a much easier choice for straight people. If you’re straight, stop assuming straight is the default. You can choose to do better.
