Taking children to a pediatric dentist will help the child and parents in a best possible way of maintaining child's oral hygiene and prevention of wrong alignment of teeth before the eruption of their permanent teeth. Pediatric dentist will see the eruption pattern of the teeth and will advise the necessary serial extractions to be made, for prevention of crowding in the child's dental arch. Dentist can give space maintainers for maintaining sufficient space for the permanent teeth before their eruption. They will also guide the proper diet and brushing technique to the child and their parents as well. Children will also learn to care for their teeth, its importance and maintenance of it in the long run.
