Li Qingzhao (born 1084, Jinan, Shandong province, China—died after 1155, Jinhua, Zhejiang province) was China’s greatest woman poet, whose work, though it survives only in fragments, continues to be as highly regarded as it was in her own day. Li Qingzhao was born into a literary family and produced well-regarded poetry while still a teenager.

    Li Qingzhao (Li Ch’ing-chao 李清照) was a famous Song Dynasty (960-1279) poet. Born on 13 th March 1084 in Zhangqiu, Shandong Province, she is regarded to this day as one of the greatest and most talented literary figures in Chinese history. Li was revered as a Master of the Wanyue Style, or the ‘The Graceful and Restrained School’ of Chinese poetry.

    Li Qingzhao Biography Li Qingzhao (李清照, Lǐ Qīngzh�o) (1084 - ca. 1151) was a Chinese woman-writer and poet of the Song Dynasty. She was born in Licheng to a family of officals and scholars; her father was a friend of Su Shi. In 1101 she married Zhao Mingcheng, with whom she shared interests in art collection and epigraphy.
