Driving on Mexico toll roads can be expensive as toll costs range from MX$ 25 to 150 MX$ (approximately US$ 2.50-15) for passenger cars.

Currently, the tariff for travel on the expressway – which began operations in 2007 – at point of entry and exit at the Putrajaya toll plaza is RM2.50 for Class 1 vehicles (those with two axles and three/four wheels, excluding taxis), RM5 for Class 2 (five or six-wheeled vehicles with two axles), RM7.50 for Class 3 (vehicles with three or more axles), RM1.30 for Class 4 (taxis) and RM1.30 for Class 5 (buses).

The construction is generally financed by toll revenue (thus user fees) rather than fuel taxes, thus the toll rates are usually rather high, about MXN $1–$2 per kilometer ($1.6–$3.2/mi), roughly 15–30 US cents per mile (9.3–18.6 ¢/km) for private cars and motorcycles.

Most car and motorcycle toll charges are usually under $3 per toll. The tolls can be paid in U.S. currency as well as Mexican currency. However note that if you pay in pesos the will not give you American Currency as change.
