  2. The Morris water maze is a test that measures spatial learning and memory1. The procedure for the Morris water maze is as follows21:
    1. Fill a 1.5 m diameter, 45 cm deep, Morris water maze with water to a depth of 26.5 cm.
    2. Adjust the water temperature to 25 ĚŠC (± 0.5°C).
    3. Place a circular platform, 25 cm high and 12 cm in diameter, into the tank at a fixed location in the centre of one of four imaginary quadrants.
    4. Place the rodent in the pool of water.
    5. The rodent must use visual cues to remember the location of a hidden platform just below the water's surface.
