This regulation establishes three forms of correspondence authorized for use within the Army: a letter, a mem-orandum, and a message. Applicability. This regulation applies to the Regular Army, the Army National provisions and provides an internal con-trol evaluation for use in evaluating key internal controls (see appendix G). Supplementation.

Capitalize “Soldiers,” “Family(ies),” and “Civilian(s)” in internal Army documents. Do not use the term “rank” for Civilians; use the term “grade” instead.
