My preferred routine is doing the "reps-to-failure" 5-day versions of SBS (hypertrophy on bulks, strength on cuts), but 4 days per week and just rotating what day I do the workouts. So typically: MWFSat for strength, with 45 minutes of low intensity cardio in the mornings (like elliptical, etc).
