Jul 6, 2008 · Maybe a word of explanation is due about the word "being". If you used it, ph2004, you'd stress the duration of being offered a job. You don't want to do it usually. You just want to state the fact that you were offered a job. "Being" could be correct if you wanted to say that something else happened during your being offered a job.
