I think you've got a lot of the pros and cons nailed honestly. One con I might add is they are kinda nervous so don't like loud noises indoors or out, or "chaos" in the house. And sensitive too so you really can't scold them (not that you need to usually) it really upsets them.

PROS: Incredibly sweet, loyal, good with kids/dogs/cats, will be your best friend. KEEP IN MIND: Can be VERY stubborn. Use positive reinforcement (collies are sensitive!). They do bark, sometimes a lot. Collies require a lot of grooming - get your pup comfortable with the process early! Mine had digestive issues so he needed sensitive tummy food.
