    Spinning is a manufacturing process for creating polymer fibers. The process involves extruding a spinning solution consisting of polymer and a volatile solvent through a spinneret into an evaporating chamber. A stream of hot air impinges on the jets of spinning solution emerging from the spinneret, evaporating the solvent, and solidifying the filaments. There are four types of spinning for polymer; wet, dry, melt, and gel spinning. In dry spinning, the solution of polymer is pushed through a spinnerette into a heated column called the spinning tower, where the solvent evaporates, leaving a fibre.
