We use the best scientific information available to determine whether to add a species to (list) or remove from (delist) the federal lists of endangered and threatened wildlife and plants. We also determine whether already listed species should be reclassified from threatened to endangered (uplist) or from endangered to threatened (downlist).

The USFWS Environmental Conservation System (ECOS) houses downloadable species reports for listed species managed by FWS. CSI has compiled several of these reports to create a searchable database to view species attribute information.

EPA’s Office of Pesticide Programs has 12 species-specific Fact Sheets that offer a summary of these listed species, including their status, description, range, habitat, biology and behavior.
