Common side effects

• Hyperkalemia
• Headache disorder
• Gynecomastia
• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Dizziness
• Kidney disease with reduction in GFR

If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly

• Headache

• Diarrhea
• Vomiting

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including

• Abnormal vaginal bleeding
• Enlarged or sore breasts in males
• Symptoms of a high potassium blood level

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including

• Rash
• Itching/swelling
• Severe dizziness
• Trouble breathing

• Take at the same time(s) daily as directed
• Take doses regularly, even when feeling well
• May make you dizzy. Use caution when driving.
• Reduce or avoid drinking alcohol
• Tell Dr. of slow pulse. Avoid potassium salt.
• Review all drugs you are taking with your doctor
• It is important to check blood pressure regularly.
• Lab tests may be ordered to monitor therapy

• May cause dizziness ; It is very important that you take or use this exactly as directed. Do not skip doses or discontinue unless directed by your doctor. ;

Before taking this medication, tell your doctor if you've had:

• High potassium blood levels (hyperkalemia)
• Kidney disease
• Diabetes

Products that may interact with this drug include:

• Drugs that may increase the level of potassium in the blood (such as birth control pills containing drospirenone, potassium sparing water pills such as amiloride/spironolactone/triamterene)
• Lithium
