In 1827, Ohm’s law was introduced in Georg Ohm’s book The Galvanic Chain, Mathematically Worked Out, but despite being so fundamental to the physics of electricity, this law wasn’t well-received by other scientists and critics at the time.
The first, and perhaps most important, relationship between current, voltage, and resistance is called Ohm’s Law, discovered by Georg Simon Ohm and published in his 1827 paper, The Galvanic Circuit Investigated Mathematically.
Ohm’s law may be expressed mathematically as V / I = R. That the resistance, or the ratio of voltage to current, for all or part of an electric circuit at a fixed temperature is generally constant had been established by 1827 as a result of the investigations of the German physicist Georg Simon Ohm.
