However, since updating my drivers last week with the help of HP Printer Scanner Doctor the shortcut has disappeared and I don't know how to start the scanner option. May 3, 2017 · Usually, once the printer drivers are installed, you see a printer utility icon on the screen. Opening the icon will provide an option to scan. There are other apps that you may install on your Win10 PC that will be useful for scanning as well.

I tried to find it in the OfficeJet folder in Program Files, but there is no scan.exe or similar to put a shortcut on the desktop.
