    Self-treatment: Self- care steps that may be helpful in some less- serious cases:
    • Apply cold compress over the affected area for 20 to 30 minutes
    • Elevate the affected limb for the first 24 hours
    • Avoid taking non- prescribed aspirin, ibuprofen or supplements
    • Avoid applying non- prescribed corticosteroids over the skin
