- To delete your browsing history on your device, open Chrome and click the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner. Then, hover over More Tools and select Clear Browsing Data. Alternatively, you can use a keyboard shortcut to open the clear browsing data window.
- To delete your browsing history across all synced devices, make sure you are signed in to Chrome and sync is turned on. You can check your sync status by clicking the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- In the clear browsing data window, choose a time range from the drop-down menu, such as Last hour or All time. Then, check the boxes for the types of data you want to delete, such as Browsing history, Cookies and other site data, or Cached images and files. You can also switch to the Advanced tab to see more options, such as Passwords, Autofill form data, or Media licenses. 3
- Click Clear Data to confirm your selection. This will remove the data from your device and your Google Account if sync is turned on.
- To delete your browsing history automatically, go to myactivity.google.com and select Activity Controls. Then, under Web & App Activity, click Auto-delete and choose a time period, such as 3 months, 18 months, or 36 months. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process. This will delete your web and app activity, which includes your Chrome history, after a specific time period.
- To delete your browsing history manually, go to myactivity.google.com and select Delete activity by. Then, choose a time range or a specific date, and select All products or Chrome.
