It can be of 2 types, focal onset impaired awareness and focal onset aware seizures. Focal seizures can occur due to many factors and triggers like stress, lack of sleep, and alcohol. It can also be caused by high fever, lack of sleep, brain infections, lack of sodium, COVID-19, head trauma, or certain medications. Stress and anxiety have been known to release certain chemicals in regions of the brain that are more prone to seizures.
