You don't need or None at all. dict.get returns None by default when it can't find the provided key in the dictionary.

It's a good idea to consult the documentation in these cases:

    get(key[, default])

Return the value for key if key is in the dictionary, else default. If default is not given, it defaults to None, so that this method never raises a KeyError.

What does none mean in Python? In Python, None is an instance of NoneType. It represents the absence of a value. For example, a function that does not explicitly return a value with return will return None. As recommended in the Python coding standard PEP8, use is None or is not None to check if a variable is None or not None.
What does 'no' mean in Python?None is the default return value of a function in Python, and it's often used to represent something that's missing or has no value yet. It's common to use falsiness checks when looking for None values. But you'll sometimes see the is operator used to explicitly look for None.
How to use Python none in general? In this section, we will discuss some of these applications of Python None in general. When a variable doesn’t have any meaningful initial value, we can assign None. For example, let say we want to start the game if the current state is None. We can initialize our current state to none and only start the game if the value is none.
What is the difference between null and none in Python?Output: None – None is an instance of the NoneType object type. And it is a particular variable that has no objective value. While new NoneType objects cannot be generated, None can be assigned to any variable. Null – There is no null in Python, we can use None instead of using null values.
What is a 'no' value in Python?Python's None value is similar to NULL or NIL in other programming languages. None is the default return value of a function in Python, and it's often used to represent something that's missing or has no value yet. It's common to use falsiness checks when looking for None values.
What are the applications of Python none?Python none has many important applications in the Python programming language. It is used to initialize variables, used to fix mutable default arguments, used to return None value from the function, and many more. In this section, we will discuss some of these applications of Python None in general.
