A globe shows Earth as it looks when seen from outer space. A map is always smaller than the area it represents. Most maps include something called a scale to show how much smaller the map is.

The major distinction between a map and a globe is that a map can depict any area of the land (a city, a two, a country, or a continent), whereas a globe always shows the entire earth. Map reveals the most minute aspects of the Earth. It may reveal even little data about a village or the relief features of distinct places.
