Lymphedema

Very common

A condition that results in swelling of the leg or arm. It occurs due to blockage in the lymphatic system which is part of the immune system.

Symptoms may include:

• Groin pain
• Increased frequency of infections
• Hardening and thickening of the skin (fibrosis)

Kidney stone

Presence of stones in the kidney due to a decrease in urine volume or excess of stone-forming substances in the urine. This causes back pain, abdominal pain, burning sensation during urination, blood in urine and fever.

Symptoms may include:

• Groin pain
• Fever
• Difficulty in urination, feeling of urgency, frequent, painful, burning micturition

Groin hernia

Common

A condition occurs when the abdominal content protrudes through a soft spot in the muscles of the lower abdomen.

Symptoms may include:

• Groin pain
• Heavy or dragging sensation in the groin, especially at the end of a day or after prolonged activity
• A bulge that appears and goes away while lying flat

Urinary tract infection

Very common

Infection of any part of the urinary system, including kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra.

Symptoms may include:

• Burning sensation during urination
• Frequent urination
