  2. The Wet Bandits
    • According to 2 sources
Marv and Harry, the robbers who try to break into Kevin's house throughout the movie, go by the nickname the Wet Bandits. Marv explains at one point that the name fits their signature move of flooding the houses that they steal from, but the nickname can also be a reference to the fact that they drive around in a plumbing van.
The Wet Bandits, you will probably know, are Harry (Joe Pesci) and Marv (Daniel Stern), the film’s grubby, charming antagonists. They’re burglars, and they seem to be decent enough at their jobs, having committed enough robberies (and left enough taps running in their wake) to have earned a nickname.

Are Harry and Marv funny?Marv, meanwhile, is more dim-witted. The two together are funny in their interactions with both Kevin and amongst themselves, and they have a laundry list of hilarious quotes, to boot. Harry: "Oh! He Busted Me Right In My Mouth, Marv!" Harry, more so than Marv, has learned a lesson or two since his last encounter with Kevin in the second film.
Why did Marv change his name to 'Sticky Bandits'?Marv decided to change their nickname to the "Sticky Bandits" after taping his hand to stick some change to his hand. Unknowingly, Kevin bumped into Harry passing through a large group of pedestrians. Harry looked and thought he recognized Kevin, but Kevin had disappeared into the crowd before Harry could get a second glance.
What kind of Van did Harry & Marv have?Take your favorite fandoms with you and never miss a beat. Home Alone Wiki is a FANDOM Movies Community. Harry and Marv's van was a pale grayish blue 1986 Dodge Ram van that read Oh-Kay Plumbing and Heating on the side and presumably stolen and appears in the first Home Alone film.
