The hotel was in a good location, right by Grant Park and by a lot of the colleges, just a couple blocks over from the loop and State St. The hotel, however, is very old and dated. At one point, I felt like I was in the hotel from The Shining. I expect better from my Wyndham locations. I thought at least the decor would have been updated to Wyndham standards, but everything was old and dated and it had an odor when I got home. The windows were cracked and just had clear tape on them. They should replace the glass, especially since it was a second floor room and it gets very loud from street noise, trucks and the train. I am not sure I would stay here again. I would rather spend money for a good hotel experience than use my Wyndham points or rewards points for this location.…

We stayed one night before a cruise. Outside of building is old, outdated, dirty. Room appeared clean but when I woke up at night to use restroom and turned on the light, roaches scattered and hid. Except one who I think was upset I broke up their party because he never lost eye contact as he sauntered to the baseboard to not be in light.

Stayed for 2 nights in March 2020. Chose this property because hotel rates skyrocket during Spring Training and the hotel matched my budget. What I should have kept in mind is that you get what you pay for. Everything is very dirty, peeling paint, fixtures coming out of wall, poor quality pillows and it's in a very sketchy area. When housekeeping came by they left towels on the floor and sort of made the bed. Not sure what happened but a pair of flip flops I left next to the bed are missing. Stay elsewhere.

There is now a parking fee compare to 3 years ago when we were here for a cruise. $15 plus tax might not be bad compare to other hotels nearby but with the price we paid per night for this mediocre hotel, ridiculous. Time to find another hotel next time. Parking area hasn’t change, rough and tight. Upon entering our room, hot. A/C is weak. Could it be a dirty filter status? The slider had been taped up around. We’d found bunch of crumbs on the floor. Bed side is pretty close to the window and the other bed near the bathroom. Shower is narrow but drainage is not clogged up. Toilet is somewhat slow to flush. I have to hold the lever to ensure a good flush. I wish I could do the same with the dispensers for hair and body essentials. They were all empty. It has small closet with security box, iron/iron board, suitcase stand, and an extra pillow. Bed is okay. It has cable with HBO channels but it’s spotty sometimes like its wifi. Fitness center is good for light work out if unsanitized dumbbells and sticky elliptical machine handles are not an issue. There is nowhere to find towels, sanitizing/cleaning wipes, and drinking water. Outside the door is the stickiest floor, nasty. Pool looks okay but seems never been maintain. Front desk was great checking us in and helping us what we needed. Many attractions are within a mile. No vehicle requires for abled bodies.
