      Diabetes is a condition which we have to live with. Hence, avoiding all foods that increase sugar is of no use. Hence, calculating the calories or including low calorie foods which are sweets or ice creams helps to manage blood sugars even when such sugary foods are taken. When ice creams are considered, most diabetics would love to include and choosing right foods will help not to raise blood sugars. Low calorie or no sugar ice cream substitutes will help and ADA recommends 45-60gms of intake of sweet or ice cream in between a meal that helps to control sugars. This value is again individualistic and modified for each person depending on his intake. Ice creams that are made of sugar substitutes have to carefully checked if calories are high or moderately high and then included. Sometimes frozen yoghurt are also best alternatives for ice creams which are healthy.
